Lesson Plans are a game plan for what you want to accomplish in class. It keeps me focused and on schedule but sometimes there may be a need to change them. I prefer planning weekly in terms of topic and standards covered and daily to meet the changing needs of my students.
As a person who is very detailed and organized, I find lesson plans very useful. There have been times when I have come to class without plans and it was probably the most stressful time ever. Lesson plans are a great road map/guide for the day/week. Not only does it provide with me a road map, it also helps me keep track with the materials that will be needed for the lesson.
I use kind of the same strategy. I have a week plan ,but I will adjust depending on my scholars needs.
ReplyDeleteI use a strategy like this. I like to start with my assessment for the week and then building my daily assessments, and then my PowerPoints.
