Lesson plans the best friend you didn't know you had.
Lesson plans are a teachers' best friend, their number fan, their personal assistant! Done correctly lesson plans can help anyone lead a successful and engaging class. Personally I thrive when my lesson plans are detailed enough to where I only have to look at the plan to run my class and not have to worry about fumbling with multiple pieces of paper. My lesson plans typically cover the follow:
1. Objective
2. CFS
3. First 5 (which includes how scholars enter class, the exact location where they place their items, and what they need to bring to the dance floor, and what else needs to be accomplished during the first 5 minutes)
4. Motivational moment
5. Direct Instruction
6. Personal Practice
7. Last 5
So lesson plans are your friends. Do them early, do them in excellence and expect to have a phenomenal class!
